WARREN — Trumbull County grand jurors handed up 54 indictments Wednesday, including seven sealed cases.

One case involved two counts of felonious assault with firearm specifications filed against an 18-year-old Youngstown man accused of shooting two people in Howland in late January..

Theodore Garfield Davis Jr., 18, of Clifton Drive, will be arraigned in common pleas court. Davis could face more than 20 years in prison if he is convicted of both counts, plus the gun specifications that carry mandatory consecutive terms.

Reports show Howland detectives were able to link Davis to the Jan. 31 shooting at the corner of Overland and Elm Road NE in Howland, where an adult man and a 17-year-old boy were both shot in the leg.

Trumbull County jail records show Davis has been incarcerated since Feb. 8, and his bond was set at $10,000 in Warren Municipal Court.
