The Ohio Department of Health has issued a bacteria contamination advisory for Mosquito Lake.
This means the level of bad bacteria in the water has reached unsafe levels and could make a person sick. Children, the elderly and those in ill health or with weakened immune systems are advised not to swim.
Too much E. coli was found in the water, according to the ODH. Two weeks ago, the lake was put under the same advisory. The source of both contaminations is unknown.
