Although the information posted on the Ohio Department of Health website for COVID-19 cases among the state's nursing homes and assisted-living facilities indicates it was updated Thursday, the data contains very little updated information.
Two Mahoning County facilities listed as having a high number of cases two weeks ago and again last week still list the same number of high cases again this week, indicating the data has not been updated for those facilities.
Several other Mahoning County facilities are listed with two or three cases each, but it's unknown whether any of those numbers are accurate.
The ODH data shows one COVID-19 case among a staff member at one Trumbull nursing home and suggested Columbiana County facilities had no new cases.
The data shows one additional death attributed to a Trumbull County facility, but no new deaths among facilities in Mahoning or Columbiana counties.
One set of numbers that changed this week is the number of total COVID-19 cases among nursing homes and assisted-living facilities across the state.
It indicates the number of patient cases dropped this week from 707 to 583 and the number of staff cases dropped from 602 to 536. Those numbers also appear not to be completely up to date.

Reporting of nursing home data also moved to Thursday from its previous reporting day of Wednesday.
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction also changed its reporting and now provides updates on Thursdays instead of daily.
The prison COVID-19 data on Thursday showed no staff cases of COVID-19 reported anywhere in the state prison system, and there are only three inmates with the infection, including one at the Trumbull Correctional Institution in Leavittsburg.
