WARREN -- Dozens of community members came out to Packard Park on Friday evening to search for a local restaurateur who disappeared during his routine jog.
Jaysen Ridout, owner of Get Seom Aloha restaurant on Mahoning Avenue, last was seen at the park during his jog Monday morning. Sharon Cook, of Warren, organized a search party at Packard Park Friday evening to look for him after hearing about Ridout's disappearance on Facebook.
"The information I got is from a flyer saying that he came for a routine jog and never returned," Cook said. "There's only him and his wife and four kids that are all from California, they don't have anybody here."
Cook doesn't know Ridout, but she runs a group page on Facebook that posts breaking news in the Warren community. She said nearly 70 people came out to the park throughout the day to look along the river and in the fields. All of the dugouts and pavilions also were checked during the search.
Ridout last was seen wearing an orange beanie. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Warren police.
