Man wields gun at Palmyra Road store

1 min read

WARREN -- Police are investigating an attempted robbery Saturday afternoon at the Dawlah Market at 1104 Palmyra Road SW.

Officers were called about 12:45 p.m. to the market as a report stated someone had a gun and fled in an unknown direction, possibly on foot.

Officers checked the area but could not find anyone. The owner told officers a young man with light brown hair and wearing a black hoodie went to the back of the store near the coolers. As the man came to the register, the owner said he could see he had bulges in his pants that indicated he was hiding bottles of drinks.

During the struggle, a second man, with brown, curly hair and a beard and wearing a tan coat, pulled a black pistol -- which made the owner stop struggling. The first man then removed the bottles from his pants and gave them back, before both left out the front door, the report states.

Officers viewed video of the incident.
