Trumbull grand jury chooses to indict 44

WARREN — Forty-four people were indicted Thursday by a Trumbull County grand jury, including 12 people who were secretly indicted and whose charges will be made public once they are arrested.

There also was a direct presentment for a Brookfield man who is facing four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. A direct presentment is when a case bypasses the municipal court process and goes straight to the grand jury for consideration of charges.

Those indicted Thursday are:

• Amanda R. Buena, 34, 350 28th St. SW, Warren, cocaine possession with forfeiture specification;

• Brandon J. Goodwin, 22, 707 S. State St., Girard, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and aggravated drug possession, both with a forfeiture specification;

• David T. Evans, 40, Trumbull County jail, failure to comply with order or signal of police officer, falsification and aggravated drug possession;

• Ja Wan Dorsey-Anglen, 24, 2530 Oak St. SW, Warren, carrying concealed weapons, drug possession and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle;

• Dennis L. Boyce, 29, 716 Olive St., Niles, aggravated trafficking in hashish and possession of hashish;

• Daniel J. Waggoner Jr., 34, 17 James Lane, Girard, burglary, vandalism, breaking and entering, and criminal damaging;

• Darryl Cowan Jr., 39, 1632 Ferndale Ave. SW, Warren, robbery, trespass in a habitation when a person is likely to be present and counterfeiting;

• Jonathan B. Bell, 38, 1087 Perkinswood SE, Warren, aggravated possession of drugs, carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, all with specification of forfeiture;

• Laquame S. Knox, 28, 1586 Willard Ave., Warren, carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle;

• Stephen C. Cowens, 42, 44 Morris Ave., Warren, aggravated possession of drugs;

• Francisco A. Luciano, 22, 2152 Peace Ave., Warren, carrying concealed weapons;

• Jacob R. Robinson, 30, 1581 Woodbine SE, Warren, vandalism;

• Brian A. Guy, 40, 126 W. Second St., Girard, four counts aggravated trafficking in drugs, trafficking in cocaine, aggravated possession of drugs, trafficking in fentanyl-related compound and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia;

• Branden A. Black, 37, in care of Trumbull County jail, possession of fentanyl-related compound;

• William J. Wertz, 47, 5789 U.S. Route 322, Hartstown, aggravated possession of drugs;

• Charles G. Holmes, 44, 10097 state Route 534, North Bloomfield, trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia;

• Daniel Campana, 48, 3932 Southrn Blvd., Youngstown, possession of fentanyl-related compound and possession of cocaine;

• Kearney J. West, 28, in care of Trumbull County jail, theft;

• Kayla E. Taylor, 28, in care of Trumbull County jail, theft from a person in a protected class, two counts forgery and obstructing official business;

• Brian Cain, 50, 778 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon, Pa., having weapons while under disability, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and carrying concealed weapons;

• Zachary A. Stutzman, 34, 5901 Hyde Road, Rome, aggravated possession of drugs and two counts of OVI;

• Steven Thomas Jr., 24, 1060 Kenilworth Ave. SE, Warren, possession of fentanyl-related compound;

• Bradley J. Lawrence, 36, 1436 Westwood Drive, Warren, possession of fentanyl-related compound;

• Jonathan T. Macrinos, 28, 1130 Trumbull Ave. SE, Warren, two counts, receiving stolen property.

The following cases were sent back to the municipal level because the charges are misdemeanors:

• Booker L. Jones, 38, Benton Street, Warren, driving under suspension;

• Benjamin T. March-Natali, 37, Malibu Drive SW, telecommunications harassment and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle;

• Carl W. Riffle, 47, in care of Trumbull County jail, two counts receiving stolen property;

• Tyler J. Welsh Jr., 29, 136 Dearborn St., Girard, failure to comply with order or signal of police officer;

• Saun M. Peterson, 19, 3135 Louise Rita Court, Youngstown, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

The following cases were not indicted:

• Deshawnn L. Williams, 32, 152 S. Lakeview Ave., Youngstown, trafficking in drugs, having weapons under restrictions, possession of cocaine and possession of drugs;

• Nicole Yoakem, 35, Millersburg, possession of drugs;
