Hydrant flushing set within county

1 min read

WARREN -- The Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer's Office will be flushing fire hydrants in the Brookfield, Masury and Vienna starting Tuesday and will continue into the following week.

The Niles Fire Department also will conduct biannual citywide hydrant flushing starting Tuesday and is expected to last two to three weeks, weather permitting. Three crews will be flushing hydrants in various areas each day.

When hydrant flushing is occurring nearby, residents may experience low water pressure and discoloration, so check the water before doing laundry, cooking or showering. If discoloration occurs, the water lines may be cleared by running the washer on the cold water cycle with no clothes inside.

Starting at /week.
