62-year-old man charged with shooting neighbor’s cat
WARREN — A 62-year-old man was arrested after being accused of shooting a cat Friday in front of a neighbor’s child in the 2600 block of Front Street SW.
Mark McCracken Sr. of Third Street SW, is charged with discharging firearms, killing or injuring animals and resisting arrest, a report states.
A young girl was screaming at officers that “he killed my cat,” the report states.
Neighbors were feeding it a piece of hot dog when a man shot the cat with a .22 rifle and threw it in the woods, the report states.
McCracken was taken into custody after briefly hiding in his basement, according to the report.
