Data from the Ohio Department of Health shows the state recorded some 75 COVID-19 related deaths in the last week, while daily cases stayed above 3,000.
The ODH reported 3,452 new cases Saturday, the 18th consecutive day of more than 1,000 cases and sixth over the last nine days with more than 3,000 reported.
As of Friday, Ohio listed 20,689 deaths since the pandemic began in March 2020. In the last week, Mahoning County recorded two deaths, while Trumbull County added one.
As of Saturday, 17,530 cases were reported in Trumbull County, with 1,303 hospitalizations and 494 deaths.
Mahoning County reported 23,641 total cases, 1,128 hospitalizations and 617 deaths as of Saturday.
The ODH website only reports new death totals on Tuesdays and Fridays.
On Saturday, Columbiana County came in with 9,761 cases, 531 hospitalizations and 236 deaths, the last of which showed no change from Tuesday's total.
Meanwhile, vaccination rates in all three counties remain below 50 percent. As of Saturday, 49.53 percent of the population of Mahoning County had received at least one dose of a vaccine, while 47.37 percent of Trumbull County and 40.04 percent of Columbiana County at least had started the vaccination process.
Statewide, 51.16 percent of the population, or 5,980,589 people, at least had started the vaccination process Saturday, while about 11,919 people in the state began the process in the previous 24 hours, according to the ODH.
