NILES -- Trumbull County Engineer Randy Smith is hosting a meeting to discuss special funding for projects 5 to 7 p.m. today at Ciminero's Banquet Center, 123 N. Main St. in Niles.
A review of proposed sewer and water projects to include in a county application for funding through state House Bill 168 will take place.
There also will be discussion of the new Ohio Department of Transportation township stimulus program, which will provide one-time funding for sidewalks, roads and culverts. The program has $8 million to distribute, with a cap of $250,000 per project.
An attorney is expected to provide guidance on allowable expenditures through the American Rescue Plan. Local and state elected officials are expected to attend.
