BROOKFIELD -- The two people injured in a Sunday afternoon crash still are in St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
Patrick Whalen, 48, of Sharon, Pa., was driving south in a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze when he traveled left of center at about 5:20 p.m. and struck a northbound 1998 GMC Sonoma pickup truck head on, the patrol report states. The driver of the pickup was Samuel L. Miller, 66, of Warren.
Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles, according to a Trumbull County 911 report.
