GIRARD -- A Warren man is facing charges following a crash and a brief standoff.

Damien J. Binion, 23, Palmyra Road SW, was charged Monday in Girard Municipal Court with felony failure to comply, inducing panic and obstruction of official business, and on misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing and criminal mischief, according to court records. A warrant was issued for his arrest. He is being treated in a hospital following a vehicle crash.

The incident began as a domestic "situation" in Girard, but Liberty police became involved Sunday morning when the man crashed on Pleasant Valley Road in Liberty, said Liberty police Chief Toby Meloro. Following a brief standoff on Anderson Morris Road, the man was taken into custody and transported to the hospital, Meloro said.
