NILES -- A Niles woman was arrested on a felonious assault charge after a Robbins Avenue man told Trumbull County 911 that his daughter ran him over with her car on Sunday afternoon.
Cori Lynn Tomlin, 22, of 1524 Robbins Ave., Niles, pleaded guilty Monday to a misdemeanor assault charge, according to court records. She was given one year of probation and fined $100 plus costs.
According to a spokesman with Niles Municipal Court, the family victims in the case requested the charge reduction for Tomlin, who was a first-time offender. Also, the family asked Judge Christopher Shaker not to issue a no-contact order in the case.
According to the 911 report, a man and woman came on station about 5:30 p.m. Sunday reporting the incident. A man, age 46, called 911 saying he just wanted a police report of the incident and reported that he did not need medical attention. A 44-year-old woman, also listed as a victim in the 911 report, decided to get an apparent foot injury checked at the hospital.
Trumbull County jail records show Tomlin was booked into the facility about 7:30 p.m.
