Murder suspect wants evidence out
WARREN -- The lawyer of a man accused in the shooting death of a Boardman woman is seeking to supress evidence in the murder case.
A hearing for murder defendant Edward J. Culler, 23, of 3071 Lodwick Drive NW, is set for Oct. 1 before Common Pleas Court Judge Andrew D. Logan.
Culler is accused in the June 26 death of Taryn Simmons, 25, that occurred outside an apartment in northwest Warren's River Run complex.
Culler's trial is set for Nov. 16, according to court records. Attorney Mary Ellen Ditchey is representing Culler.
Simmons died from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Trumbull County Coroner's office, which ruled the death a homicide.
