PATRIOTIC MUSIC: Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., will feature patriotic music with choirs from several Girard churches 9:30 a.m. Sunday to usher in the July Fourth holiday.

50-YEAR OUTDOOR WORSHIP: The First United Methodist Church of Andover will hold its drive-in outdoor service 9:30 a.m. every Sunday through Sept. 3 at Wildwood Acres Campgrounds, state Route 7 and Marvin Road, Andover. Guest on Sunday is Dan Schall and July 9 will be Sound Witness.

First United Methodist Church has held outdoor services for 50 years. Those attending can dress casual and bring a lawn chair or stay inside their car.

SUMMER CAMP: Villa Maria Teresa School, 50 Warner Road, Liberty, will host a summer camp run by the Oblate Sisters 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through July 29 for children ages 3 to 12. The camp will include religion, computer classes, Italian lessons, crafts and swimming lessons. For registration, call 330-759-7383.

FOURTEEN DAYS OF PRAYER: The Fortnight for Freedom is 14 days of prayer, education and action for religious freedom in the United States and abroad, called for by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty. The Fortnight for Freedom takes place today through Tuesday with the theme “Freedom for Mission.”

Youngstown Bishop George Murry will preside at a Holy Hour and deliver the homily on Independence Day, 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.Tuesday, at St. Columba Cathedral, 154 W.Wood St., Youngstown.

After the Holy Hour, at 8 p.m., St. Columba Cathedral will host a fireworks extravaganza, including a free cookout. Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling 330-744-8451, Ext. 271. Donations will be accepted.

SOUL SISTERS: Cornerhouse Christian Church, 6954 Chestnut-Ridge Road, Hubbard, will present Soul Sisters 7 p.m. Monday. An outdoor worship service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday.

YOUTH CHOIR: The Warren City Wide Youth Choir is inviting youth and young adults from the Warren area to participate in rehearsals in preparation for their upcoming performance at the 3rd annual 2DE Gospel Fest featuring Israel Houghton and New Breed on July 9 in Youngstown.

Rehearsals will be 6:30 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Saturday at Second Baptist Church, 1510 Main Ave. SW in Warren. The choir is open to people ages 5 to those in their 30s.

The choir is seeking donations to help offset event expenses, provide t-shirts for members and raise funds for their annual scholarship. Donations may be made at www.gofundme.com/wcwyc2017 or mailed to Second Baptist Church c/o Warren City Wide Youth Choir, 1510 Main Ave. SW, Warren, OH 44483.

Since 2011, the choir has grown from 60 participants to over 100 youth, teens and young adults from Warren and surrounding areas, performing summer and winter concerts and special events. The choir has opened for many Gospel greats, including Houghton & New Breed, Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett, Vashawn Mitchell and Deitrick Haddon.

SPIRITUAL JOURNAL: Ursuline Sister of Youngstown Eileen Kernan will host a series of women’s spirituality classes on keeping a journal at the Ursuline Motherhouse, 4250 Shields Road, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays July 6, Aug. 3 and Sept. 7. Participants will look at where their lives have been, gain wisdom from what is happening in their lives now and look at the movement of their lives for the future. Participants should bring supplies to journal with, such as a journal and pens. Call 330-799-4941 for reservations. The sessions are free, but goodwill offerings will be accepted.

FAMILY FRIENDS/ FELLOWSHIP: Trinity Baptist Church, 235 Highland Ave. SW, Warren, will hold a Family and Friends Fellowship Night 7:30 p.m. Friday. The evening will include the movie “The Secret Life of Pets.” There also will be an apperance by Jungle Terry. Those attending can bring a lawn chair.

There will be a picnic 2:30 to 5 p.m. July 9 at the Johnson Community Center in Leavittsburg.

SUMMER CAMPS: Registration is being accepted for two summer day camps for children and youth at Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center Villa Maria, Pa. Children ages 5 to 10 can choose Thursday or Friday sessions for GROW Camp, which is a once-a-week gardening and outdoor activities camp 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 10 or 11.

Youth ages 10 to 16 are invited to learn and use outdoor skills at Outdoor Summer Experience Camp 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. July 10 to 14.

ADULT VBS: Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., Warren, will hold the fourth annual adult Vacation Bible School noon to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays for three weeks July 11-28. The theme is ”Love.” There will be classes, lunch and entertainment.

CELEBRATION: The 10th annual O’Shyah Celebration sponsored by Anicia A. Clayton Ministries will be July 14 to 16 at 904 W. Market St., Warren. July 14 is Bishop Darren Page, prophet and recording artist, accompanied by Tribe of Judea Praise and Worship Team at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Marion Masters will be July 15 with prophetic prayer and power clinic at noon and Davidic Army of God at 3:30 p.m. Prophet S. Green of Canton will speak at 3:30 p.m. July 16.

WE CARE AFFAIR: Restoration Christian Fellowship Church, 151 Folsom St. NW, Warren, will hold “We Care Affair” 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 15. The event includes ministry, music, food, non-perishable food items, clothing and school supplies. There will be a community-wide giveaway. Donations will be accepted.

PARISH FEST: Blessed Sacrament Parish, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, will hold a Parish Fest following the 10 a.m. mass July 16. There will be games, food and prizes.

SURVEY OF BISHOP: Bishop George Murry is inviting teens, their families and young adults to complete Synod Surveys. Seven surveys have been prepared to capture the input needed for a diocesan report to be submitted to the Unites States Conference of Catholic Bishops, who will in turn write a report to the Vatican that will be used for conversations at the Synod.

Survey categories include Catholic high school-aged teens; non-Catholic high school-aged teens; Catholic young adults ages 19 to their 30s; and non-Catholic Young Adults ages 19 into their 30s; parents, family and friends of teens; and parish leadership.
