WARREN -- The shooting death of a teen early Monday on the southeast side was ruled a homicide Thursday by Trumbull County Coroner Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk.
Germaniuk said Tyler Mitchell, 18, died of multiple gunshot wounds. Mitchell sustained several injuries to vital organs as the bullets hit his midsection, Germaniuk said.
At least two residents on Burton Street SE called 911 about 5:30 a.m. after hearing gunshots and tires squealing outside their home. They saw a bleeding man on the ground outside 2770 Burton St. SE, the report states. A neighbor said the gunshots sounded like two or three firecrackers.
Police are still investigating and no arrests have been made.
