STEPPING UP FOR JESUS: Girard First Baptist Church is holding a ''Stepping Up for Jesus'' brick campaign to raise funds to remodel the front entrance steps and landings of the church. The steps, landings and railings have deteriorated over many years because of weather. Memorial brick orders are being taken through Sunday. The goal is to raise $12,500.

BOOK OF REVELATIONS: The Rev. John Jerek will present on the Book of Revelation, one of the most perplexing and misunderstood books of Scripture, 7 p.m. Mondays April 24 to May 22 at the Ursuline Center in Canfield. The course will help participants learn more about the early church community, strengthen their own faith and discover lessons that can be applied to ministry in the church today.

HELP FOR TROUBLED MARRIAGES: Retrouvaille is a peer ministry that helps troubled marriage relationships. The program begins with a weekend retreat in which couples learn a new communication technique. In the Youngstown area, a weekend retreat is scheduled for May 26-28 at the Villa Maria Educational and Spirituality Center in Pulaski, Pa.
