WARREN – City police are asking for the public’s help in locating a local woman they reported was last seen in early May in the area of Belvedere Avenue S.E.
A Warren police report filed May 9 indicates that Regina Lynn DiCenso, 52, of South Street S.E., went missing May 7. She has not spoken to family or friends in several weeks, reports state.
There is concern her disappearance could be drug related. Warren police Det. Patrick Marsico said investigators have had a hard time trying to locate DiCenso because all they have to go on are first names or nicknames of the people possibly involved.
“We’re hoping if we put it out there in the media and for people to see that someone with information will come forward, even if they do it anonymously, and help us locate her,” he said.
Reports state that DiCenso was last seen with an unknown black male and an unknown white female in a gray SUV.
Police reported that DiCenso’s daughter, Danielle Lindic, reported her missing after not hearing from her mother for approximately two days. Lindic told police her mother had contacted her around 8:30 a.m. May 5, was crying on the phone and stated that she needed money. Lindic told police a male, known only as “JB” or Jimmie, got on the phone and stated that “Regina had stole approximately 14 bindles of heroin from him, and she needed to pay for the drugs,” the police report states. Lindic stated that she believes the male lives somewhere either on Washington Street or Greenfield.
She stated that she has not heard from her mother since and that calls she has made to DiCenso have gone straight to voicemail.
Lindic told police that her mother has had a bad drug addiction and that a man who lives with DiCenso saw everything that happened.
Police checked local hospitals and the Trumbull County Jail to determine whether she was at any of those places, but she was not.
DiCenso, is 5-feet-2, with brown hair and eyes. At the time she went missing she was wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone who has seen her since she went missing or has information about her whereabouts is asked to contact Marsico at 330-841-2722 or a local law enforcement agency.
