WEST FARMINGTON — Andy H. Weaver said he has lived “a blessed life.” The 90 year-old grew up in an Amish community until he was 14. Falls board looks to address needs of parks

NEWTON FALLS — Members of the Newton Falls Park/Recreation Commission, which has only met twice this year, have asked for the assistance and advice of new village manager Jeremy Shaffer on ways to improve and enhance the parks. Five men facing felony charges in Champion golf course vandalism

CHAMPION — Five young men from Champion were arraigned in Warren Municipal Court on one fourth-degree felony criminal charge each last week after an investigation by the Champion Police Department revealed each man’s involvement in the vandalism at the Cranberry Hills Golf Course on Clover Crest Drive. Of the five, four are 18 years old and one is 19. The owner of the course provided the police department with a breakdown of the damages to the golf course, totaling $41,858, including $15,755 to seven golf carts and $26,103 to the grass on the No. 4 golf hole.
