Former fiscal officer accused of misusing funds

VIENNA — A Trumbull County grand jury today indicted former Vienna Fiscal Officer, Linda McCullough, accusing her of misspending taxpayer dollars on personal and private business.

She faces two counts of theft in office, four counts of tampering with records and a single charge of telecommunications fraud.

The indictment accuses McCullough of using her position to pay personal credit card bills as well as personal and private business charges at retail stores, including Pit Stop Drive Thru, Walmart and Partzilla.

She served as fiscal officer from 2019 to earlier this year.

The Ohio Auditor’s Office placed Vienna in fiscal emergency in July after confirming the township was more than $1 million in debt.
