WARREN -- Zaa Von Hameed, 26, identified by Warren police as the suspect in Monday's fatal tavern shooting, has been arrested in Columbus, according to Franklin County jail records.
The shooting, which took place at Park Place 24 Tavern, claimed the life of 21-year-old Nathaniel Bradley.
Hameed is being held without bond in Franklin County Correctional Center II as he awaits a court date in Franklin County Municipal Court on Wednesday.
Court records show two holds on Hameed, one for the murder in Warren and the other for a misdemeanor charge out of Morrow County.
At a Monday afternoon press conference Capt. Robert Massucci said there was a physical altercation between Hameed and Bradley prior to the shooting, though a motive has yet to be determined.
Police Chief Eric Merkel and Massucci have had discussions with the tavern's owners about previous incidents there.
"The property has been a headache for our department. We've had several incidents there," Massucci said.
Merkel said he met with at least one of the bar owners Monday morning to address ongoing issues.
He said the bar had made some improvements, including adding a "30 and over" policy.
Both the suspect and victim were under the age limit.
The incident unfolded about 2 a.m., when police responded to a report of a shooting at 2185 Parkman Road near the Family Dollar. Upon arrival, officers found Bradley on the floor dead from gunshot wounds.
