Confrontation leads to shooting outside Warren eatery

WARREN -- City police are investigating after a woman was shot outside a Rally's fast food restaurant on South Street around 3 p.m. this afternoon.

Video footage of the incident, provided by a witness at the scene, shows a confrontation as the shooter approaches a white SUV containing the victim. The two women get into a physical altercation as the armed woman is pushed into a set of bushes.

As she's on the ground, the shooting victim approaches, and the shooter then fires at least one shot, seemingly into the other woman's stomach area.

Two children and two raccoons were inside the shooter's vehicle. They were taken by a friend at the scene. A dog was in the victim's car and was removed from the scene by police.

The victim's condition is unknown. A woman claiming to be a friend of the victim said she's at the hospital receiving surgery after being shot twice in the stomach.
