WARREN -- Noel Flores pleaded guilty Tuesday to involuntary manslaughter stemming from the shooting death of a Warren mother in her Francis Avenue home in November.
Flores, 20, accepted a plea agreement to an amended indictment charging him in the slaying of 26-year-old Ashante Fisher-Kirksey.
His charges also included improper discharge of a firearm and three counts of second-degree possession of a firearm in a liquor permit premise.
If given a consecutive sentence Flores is looking at a potential sentence of 29.5 years.
The first three years of the prison time Flores will serve are mandatory due to the firearm specification attached to the charge of involuntary manslaughter.
On the night of Fisher-Kirksey's death, her boyfriend phoned 911, reporting that his girlfriend had been shot in the neck after she was followed into her Francis Avenue SE residence by at least one gunman around 2 a.m. Nov. 11.
Flores was booked into Trumbull County jail in December following extradition from St. Petersburg, Florida where U.S. Marshals tracked him to an apartment. Flores was found with a 9mm firearm which was matched to the one used in Fisher-Kirksey's death.
