WARREN -- Jose Gaetan, 78, was sentenced to 25 years to life after being convicted last month of raping a 9-year-old female relative.
The sentence was handed down Wednesday by Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald J. Rice.
Gaetan was found guilty in Rice's courtroom last month on seven of the eight charges after about two hours of deliberations by the jury. The charges included two counts of rape carrying a life sentence and five counts of gross sexual imposition.
