Reward offered after house fire deemed arson by investigators

WARREN -- The Division of State Fire Marshal's Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau have ruled Saturday's house fire on Atlantic Street NW as arson and investigators are seeking the public's help.

The State Fire Marshal Investigators say the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee has offered a reward for up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the fire.

Police and firefighters from Warren responded to the 200 block of Atlantic Street NW around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a structure fire.

When they arrived, Warren fire Chief Kenneth Nussle said they found the home fully engulfed in flames. The chief said this was the second fire at the home in six months and that arson was suspected at that point in time.

The home was deemed a total loss. The report lists the victim as Sunshine Warren Homes, an affordable housing organization based in Warren.
