Billy Joel, Rod Stewart to play Browns Stadium

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Billy Joel and Rod Stewart will play their first ever concert together Sept. 13 at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

The concert was announced Thursday afternoon during a press conference at the stadium.

Joel, who was inducted into the Rock Hall in 1999, has six Grammy Awards, including the Grammy Legend Award. He is an inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and was awarded the Kennedy Center Honor by President Barack and Michelle Obama.

Joel will end his monthly residency at New York's Madison Square Garden this summer with his 150th performance. Joel and Stevie Nicks played a show together last year at Columbus' Ohio Stadium.

Stewart is a two-time Rock Hall inductee, honored both as a solo artist and as a member of the band Faces.

Stewart also is a recipient of the Grammy Legend Award and was knighted in the UK in 2016. Stewart will end his residency this summer at The Colosseum in Las Vegas with his 200th performance.

Tickets will start at $73 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 at livenation.com. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets starting at 10 a.m. Monday.
