WARREN — Vanity Jones, 30, of Youngstown, on Thursday pleaded guilty to one count of felonious assault with a firearm specification that requires a mandatory one-year prison term.
Jones was before Judge Ronald J. Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, and will be sentenced after undergoing a background investigation conducted by probation officers.
She could get a maximum of up to nine years in prison.
Jones was involved in a shots fired call Warren police responded to in April at the Pit Stop at 1708 Youngstown Road. Officers found one 9 mm shell casing near the reported location of the shooting where no one was injured.
According to a Warren police report, officers were dispatched to Pit Stop at 1708 Youngstown Road for shots fired. The prosecutor stated, “She shot at someone, but she missed thankfully,” when Rice asked previously for facts on what happened.
