WARREN — An explosion at ArcelorMittal Warren Inc. just before 3 p.m. could be heard from miles away, according to social media reports.
Buildings, including the Tribune Chronicle, shook from the impact.
The Warren Fire Department said there was a boiler room explosion that has been secured in one area and officials are on scene now assessing the damage.
A post on the Warren Township Fire Department Facebook page reported crews are investigating the scene on Main Avenue SW and are advising people to avoid the area.
No injuries were reported.
