LORDSTOWN – Lordstown Motors Corp. announced today it has temporarily suspended production of its battery-powered Endurance truck, citing “performance and quality issues” with certain components.
The electric-vehicle startup also announced it issued a voluntary recall of 19 vehicles ä that either belong to customers or are used internally by the company ä to address an electrical issue that could result in the loss of propulsion.
The news sent shares of the companyás stock into free fall. In late morning trading, the stock was down about 10 percent, trading at $1.11 per share.
