MCDONALD -- Christmas in the Village that had been schedule this past Saturday was postponed until this weekend due to "concerning comments" posted on social media, village officials said.
The celebration has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday.
The postponement came after comments taken as threats were posted online. The mayor, village council and administrators jointly decided to postpone the event while police investigated. Since then, the resident who posted the statements has been located, village officials said.
Police "have determined that there is not a threat to our residents from the individual at this time," according to the city website.
