WARREN – The death of a Warren teen found shot Saturday night at River Run Apartments in the city was confirmed today by the Mahoning County coroner.
The coroner confirmed the death of Jermaine Croff, 16, at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday. The boy had been taken by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital following the shooting around 11 p.m. Saturday in Warren. Croff had been taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center by personal vehicle late Saturday before being transported to the Youngstown hospital.
A 911 report stated Croff was shot during a breakin at the apartment. An autopsy is pending.
Warren Police Department and the coroner’s office are conducting the death investigation.
