Sun. 11:03 p.m.: Cleveland Cavaliers returning to the NBA Finals

BOSTON — The Cleveland Cavaliers are returning to the NBA Finals.

In a low-scoring game, the Cavs defeated the Boston Celtics 87-79 tonight to win the Eastern Conference title 4 games to 3. They will face the winner of the Houston Rockets-Golden State Warriors series, which is tied at three games each.

LeBron James lead the Cavaliers with 35 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists while playing all 48 minutes of the game.

The Celtics were paced by Jayson Tatum’s 24 points.
