WEATHERSFIELD — A natural gas leak at the corner of Youngstown Warren Road and Robbins Avenue has curtailed utility service to eight Dominion East Ohio commercial customers for several hours today.
According to Dominion spokesman Neil Durban, a crew from Ohio Edison cut a 4-inch plastic gas line at 2796 Robbins Ave. The intersection was blocked off by the Weathersfield Fire Department as crews determined the source of the leak.
Durbin said the gas was shut off about 12:50 p.m. and crews are making repairs. Durbin said they expect to finish by late this afternoon.
Trumbull County 911 officials said they were notified of the leak at about 10:40 a.m. today.
