Valley sees explosion in weekly COVID-19 cases
The weekly rate of change in new cases in the Mahoning Valley on Friday was more than five times that of the previous week. According to Ohio Department of Health data from July 16, the week saw an increase of 20, 23, and 25 cases in Columbiana, Trumbull and Mahoning counties, respectively. On Friday, Trumbull and Columbiana counties each showed a weekly increase of 104 cases and Mahoning showed an increase of 179 cases from the previous week.
