SEEING EYE: Howl-o-Ween set Sunday at Mosquito Lake

HOWLOWEEN FOR DOG: The annual Howl-o-Ween will take place noon Sunday at Mosquito Lake State Park in Bazetta, near the beach area. The event will welcome people to bring their dogs and cats decorated for Halloween. There will be a costume contest, vendors, activities and food.

CHURCH RELOCATES: After 11 years, Freeway Gospel Empowerment Center International is relocating from 403 Atlantic Street NW, Warren, to 1951 Parkman Road, Warren. The relocation celebration Saturday will commence with a parking lot praise party beginning at 5 p.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:30 p.m. The celebration service titled "First Praise" will begin at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Terrence Edington giving the keynote address.

SAFETY DAY: The Warren Township Fire Department will have a community day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the fire station, 4750 W. Market St., Warren. There will be games, prizes, face painting, bounce houses and fire and police vehicles and equipment displays.

WARREN FLEA MARKET: A vendor and flea market will take place from

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., Warren.

ASSOCIATION MEETING: The Northeast Neighborhood Association monthly meeting will take place 6:30 p.m. Monday at Grace Methodist Church, located on Drexel Avenue, Warren.

The guest speaker will be Matt Martin, executive director, Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership. He will provide information regarding new homes to be built in the neighborhood.

Socks for the Warren Family Mission are being collected, and the church pantry is always in need of non-perishable food items.

FOOD FEST: St. Pope John XVII Our Lady of Mount Carmel Campus Robbins Avenue in Niles will have its fall food fest from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. There will be various festival foods available.

COOKOFF EVENT: The Annual Guly'as Cook Off will take place 11 a.m. to

6 p.m. Saturday, at the Hungarian Cultural Center of Northeastern Ohio in Hiram. Cost is $10 per adult and includes a ballot to vote. Children under 12 years are free. A fun-filled afternoon is promoted with a sampling of many tastes of Guly'as. There will be People's Choice winners and Judge Choice winners. Hot dogs, bakery and beverages are also available for purchase.
