Civil War reenactment set in North Bloomfield

CIVIL WAR LIVING HISTORY: A Civil War living history encampment event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday at Center Brook Manor, 8745 State Route 45, North Bloomfield. There will be an authentic Civil War field hospital setup, camp life exhibits and period reenactments, infantry and artillery demonstrations and surgeons, soldiers and civilians from the 1860s.

BOO BINGO: St. Joe's at the Mall will have a Boo Bingo from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Center Court at the Eastwood Mall in Niles. The event is free. Winners will have the chance to take home prizes.

BLOOMFIELD FOOD TRUCK NIGHT: The North Bloomfield Food Truck Night will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Bloomfield Park, 8830 Park Dr. The event will include food trucks and a 50/50 raffle.

LORDSTOWN SAFETY DAY: The Lordstown fire and police departments will host a Safety Services Day 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Lordstown schools parking lot. There will be demonstrations, vehicle and equipment displays, toy giveaways and food.

FIRE SAFETY: The Warren Fire Department will host a fire safety program from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Youth Multipurpose Room A/B at the Warren Trumbull County Public Library. The fire department will share fire safety practices in and around the home for Fire Prevention Month. Stop by early, at 1 p.m., for fire safety crafts in the KidSpace. For families and their children. The event is free. Registration is not needed.

FARMERS MARKET: The Howland Farmers Market will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Richard E. Orwig Park, 8189 E. Market St There will be freshly-picked produce, local flavors, and handicrafts. The Warren Trumbull County Public Library Pop-Up Library will be at the event for people to pick up a book, get a library card, or learn about library resources,

SUPPORTING NEIGHBORS: Hubbard Christians in Action will offer a completely free community giveaway from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Steiner Pavilion at Hubbard First Presbyterian Church, 22 Westview Ave., Hubbard City and Township adult residents are welcome to come and personally select up to five cleaning and/or grooming supplies that they need most for their households.

Everything is 100 percent free. Whether you need laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo, toothpaste, dental floss, shaving cream, or more, we're here to support our neighbors. Anyone in the Hubbard area who could use a little extra help restocking their home for the Fall is welcome. No registration or income verification required, but bring your driver's license or state ID to show residency. If you have questions before the event, contact Mary at 330-507-4239.

WINTER COATS NEEDED: The Warren Family Mission, 155 Tod Ave., Warren, is in need of donations of winter coats for a giveaway set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23. Items needed are winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets for men, women and children. Donations can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
