AUTUMN IN THE FALLS: The Newton Falls Autumn in the Falls will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the village's downtown. There will be vendors and activities.
BLESSED WITH A BAG: Two special ostomy awareness events, presented by Blessed With a Bag, will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. today and Saturday at St. Demetrios Banquet Hall, 3223 Atlantic St., Warren.
Today will feature a special meet and greet for ostomates, offering an opportunity for fellowship, encouragement and support.
Today's event will be for uplifting connection and community as ostomates will come together to share their experiences and support each other. No cost to attend but donations are accepted. Guests are $25.
Saturday's event will be a Sneaker Ball and feature the Resilience Runway from noon to 4 p.m., where individuals living with ostomies will proudly walk the runway and celebrate their courage, confidence and resilience.
Guest speaker is Dr. Kimberly Jackson. Cost is $45.
MUSIC AT THE SQUARE: Music at the Square will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hartford Community Park at state Routes 7 and 305.
There will be food and music. Those attending can take a chair.
The event is sponsored by the Hartford Community Park Committee.
BRACEVILLE REUNION: The Braceville African American Heritage Museum's second anniversary and reunion will be 4 p.m. today and be open Saturday and Sunday through 11 a.m. Sunday at the museum, 1250 Cedar St. Newton Falls. The public is invited to stop and celebrate.
PERI TO MEET: The Public Employee Retirees of Mahoning County, Chapter 18, will present a luncheon meeting at noon Oct. 6 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 Western Reserve Road, Beaver Township.
The guest speaker will be attorney Steve Yacovone, Boardman trustee and Columbiana County assistant prosecutor. He will discuss data centers in Ohio, property tax reform and the pros and cons of townships becoming cities.
The event costs $20 per person.
