SUMMER LOVE PARTY: Resiliency Folks will host the inaugural Ferndale Avenue gathering summer love block party 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday on Ferndale Avenue, which will be blocked from 1783 to 2053 Ferndale. The event will be a celebration of resiliency, fellowship and neighborhood unity. There will be classic cars, a burger-eating contest and youth activities to celebrate the end of summer unity in the community.
SIP AND PAINT: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will offer a Sober Sip and Paint program with Party Art Cafe and Studio 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the McKinley Birthplace Home. Participants can enjoy water while creating a folk art-inspired painting under the guidance of Timothy Milliner. No experience is necessary, and supplies will be provided. The adult-only program requires registration at 330-652-1704, Ext. 3.
COOKBOOK GROUP: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will offer a Cookbook Club 10 a.m. Saturday at the McKinley Birthplace Home. The September theme is restaurant copycat recipes.
