25 YEAR CELEBRATION: The Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., is planning its 25th anniversary of service to the community 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 14. CITYWIDE GARAGE SALES: Niles city will permit residents to host a summer citywide garage sale Friday through Sunday. There is no cost for registration with all fees waived for Niles residents.

OPERATION CHILD: Grace Methodist Church in Warren will be filling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. A mission outreach founded by Samaritan's Purse to take the gospel to children throughout the world. Each month through October, the church will focus on different sections on the list from Samaritan's Purse. School supplies will be the main focus in August but other items will be accepted. All items collected will be used to fill boxes from the church. A monetary donation to pay the $10 shipping cost will also be accepted. For information, contact Mary at 330-856-0483.
BABY SHOWER: Wellness on Wheels will participate in the Ohio Department of Health's Trumbull County community baby shower 1 to 3 p,.m. Friday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren.
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION: The South High School 1911-1993 Alumni Association will have its 51st annual alumni reunion Sept. 19 at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Austintown. Social hour is 1 p.m. with luncheon and recognition of classmates at 2 p.m,. Cost is $40 per person. RSVP by Monday to Betty at 330-793-9148. There will be a basket raffle, prizes, dancing and deejay.
