Gateways to Better Living receives donation through Cockeye Cares Pint Program

YOUNGSTOWN -- Gateways to Better Living is pleased to announce it has received a donation of $1,084.50 from Cockeye Creamery through its Cockeye Cares Pint Program, representing proceeds from sales of the exclusive Banana Cream Pie ice cream flavor during the second quarter (April through June).
The Cockeye Cares Pint Program partners with local nonprofit organizations by creating a signature ice cream flavor and donating a portion of pint sales back to the featured organization. Throughout April, May and June, customers enjoyed Gateways' custom Banana Cream Pie flavor while directly supporting the organization's mission.
"We are incredibly grateful to Cockeye Creamery for selecting Gateways to Better Living as a Cockeye Cares partner," said Kristie Murphy, community engagement director at Gateways to Better Living. "This partnership not only raised valuable funds for our organization but also increased awareness of our mission throughout the community. We are especially thankful to everyone who purchased a pint and helped make this campaign such a success."
The $1,084.50 donation will help Gateways continue providing quality support and services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Mahoning and Trumbull counties. The organization empowers individuals to live meaningful, independent and fulfilling lives through residential services, day programs, employment supports and community inclusion opportunities.
"We believe that strong communities are built through partnerships," Murphy added. "Cockeye Creamery f ound a creative way to give back while bringing people together over something everyone loves: ice cream. We couldn't be more appreciative of their generosity and the support of our community."
Gateways to Better Living extends its sincere appreciation to Cockeye Creamery, the Cockeye Cares Pint Program and every customer who purchased a pint of Banana Cream Pie ice cream. Together, their support is helping build brighter futures for the individuals served by Gateways.
