Seeing Eye: America250 celebration

STARS AND BARS CELEBRATE AMERICA250: Stars, Bars and Cars car show will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum. SLOAS Airport, 4033 North River Road, Howland. The event will include displays of airplanes and cars. Proceeds from the event will support local charities and provide scholarships for aviation students.

UPTON HOUSE: The historic Harriet Taylor Upton House on Mahoning Avenue in Warren will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The public is invited to visit the 1840 home Harriet Taylor Upton brought the headquarters of the National American Woman Suffrage Association to her home temporarily in 1903.

BACKYARDS FOR BUTTERFLIES: The Bristol Public Library will host a program "Backyards for Butterflies" 5 p.m. Monday with guest speaker Amy Reeher, watershed coordinator for the Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District. The presentation will teach the basics of attracting butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects to your yard. Educational handouts will be provided.

BUS ORIENTATION: Newton Falls Elementary School will have a kindergarten bus orientation from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the school parking lot. Children will learn the rules of riding a bus and will receive an activity packet with crayons and pencils.

YOGA ON THE SQUARE: Individuals can enjoy a free yoga series at the new Niles Public Square in downtown Niles. Yoga sessions are scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 16 and Sept. 6 and 20 weather permitting.
