McDONALD SAFETY DAY: The McDonald Village Safety Day will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodland Park. The event is sponsored by the McDonald Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 194. Children will be able to see police and fire vehicles. Free ice cream will be available from the Village Creamery.
HALL OF FAME: The Mathews Local School District's Hall of Fame will be 5 p.m. Aug. 15 at Enzo's Banquet Center where members of the Class of 2026 will be inducted. Reservations for the event are due by July 24 by calling Mike Miller at 330-647-3735 or Terry Woodyard at 330-638-5995.
HOW TO RUN FOR ELECTIONS: The Hubbard group that organized the recent petition to ban data centers in the city is hosting an event at 6 p.m. today at the Eagle Grille and Tavern, 29 N. Main St. in Hubbard to discuss members of the community running for election and several seats available in Hubbard city and Hubbard Township in the 2027 election cycle. Discussion will be on steps to run on the election ballot in 2027.
