SUMMERFEST: Liberty Arms Assisted Living, 1353 Churchill Hubbard Road, Liberty, will have a Summerfest 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The event will include a basket raffle, crafts, food trucks, games and a petting zoo.
RUMMAGE SALE: Grace Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Road NW, Warren, will have a summer rummage sale and bake sale 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Saturday will be $3 a bag on selected items. Proceeds from the event support the church's food pantry that serves families in need.
"STAR WARS" NIGHT: The Mahoning Valley Scrappers will host a "Star Wars" night Friday with a "Star Wars" fireworks themed show to follow the game, which begins at 7 p.m.
PONY RIDES: The Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St. will have pony rides 10 a.m. to noon Friday. There will also be a petting zoo, face painting and fire trucks.
The library also will offer a program for teens Lost World Book Nooks at 3 p.m. today.
SENIOR WATCH PROGRAM: The Bazetta Township police and fire departments have a senior watch program. Local residents who are seniors and would like to participate or would like to refer someone to the program can call 330-638-5503.
NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING: The Northwest Neighborhood Association monthly meeting is 6:30 p.m. Monday at Grace Methodist Church, located on Drexel Avenue, Warren. Guest speaker will be Mayor Doug Franklin. Socks for the Warren Family Mission are being collected and the church pantry is always in need of nonperishable food items.
