KINSMAN COMMUNITY SALES: The Kinsman Township community garage sale days will be Friday through Sunday throughout the township. There will be garage sales at residents’ homes and at the center green. The Market Square will have a list of sales locations. The public also can visit the Octagon House and the Peter Allen Inn, which are part of the historical locations in the community. The Kinsman Public Library and the Kinsman Presbyterian Church also will be open for people to visit.

BACKPACK FUNDRAISER: Cortland Church of the Nazarene, 293 E. Main St., Cortland, will have a backpack fundraiser 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Money raised will help with the church’s backpack program for school children.

NIGHT AT THE RACES: The Alba Club will host a Night at the Races 6 p.m. Saturday at the Ali Baba Grotto Hall, 760 Perkins Jones Road, Warren, with proceeds from the event to help children with special needs. There will be 10 races to run with 10 horses. The event will include food, prizes, games and a raffle. TEEN SCENE: McKinley Memorial Library will present Teen Scene: Social Inter-snack-tion, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at the McKinley Birthplace Home, Niles.

Teens ages 12-18 are invited to a popsicle party, where they will choose from a variety of frozen treats and talk about their summer plans. All supplies will be provided. Registration is recommended at 330-652-1704, ext. 4.

MUSIC ON THE LAWN: The McKinley Memorial Library will present Music on the Lawn: Speed Limit, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday on the grounds of the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial, Niles, weather permitting.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy rock and roll from the 1960s, 70s and 80s and some originals. The event is sponsored by the estates of Bauman, Gumm and Wick.
