Kinsman hosts 16th annual car show

CAR SHOW: The 16th annual Kinsman Car Show will be noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the green space northeast of the township center off Church Street. The event will take place rain or shine. Cortland Masonic Lodge 529 will be selling food. There also will be a basket raffle.

STAR SPANGLED CELEBRATION: USA Dance Youngstown Warren Chapter 2015 will have a "Star Spangled Celebration" dance 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Avon Oaks Ballroom in Girard. Dancers who have served will be honored, which includes all veterans, current military and reserves. Cost is $15. The dance is open to the public and free for veterans and current military members.

MUSIC IN THE SQUARE: Music in the Square returns 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hartford Community Park at the corner of state Routes 7 and 305.This family-friendly event will feature live music by Hair Supply. Bring a chair. Jerusalem Lodge #19 F&AM will be serving a "Mason Burger" combo, while Hartford Cub Scout Pack 90 is offering a variety of desserts and drinks. The event is sponsored by the Hartford Community Park Committee. Admission is free.

WALK AND BIKE: Move the Valley recently launched the Walk and Bike at the Market Series at the Downtown Youngstown Farmers Market. The initiative is now expanding to Warren with the launch of the "Walky Talky then Shop" walking group, which will meet Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the Warren Farmers Market.

The first 20 participants at each walk will receive a $5 gift token, which will be redeemable at the following markets: Warren Farmers Market, Downtown Youngstown Farmers Market and the Cornerstone Collective Market. Participants are encouraged to use their tokens at the Warren Market after the walk or save them to use at the other locations before they expire.

KIDS CLUB: McKinley Memorial Library will present Kids Club: Pasta Paleontology 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the McKinley Birthplace Home in Niles. Children ages 5 to 11 years are invited to the McKinley Birthplace Home on the first and third Thursdays of every month to enjoy a fun activity related to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math). This week, students will use different kinds of pasta to make their own fossilized dinosaur skeleton. Registration for this program is required at 330-652-1704.
