OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL FESTIVAL: The 93rd annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at the grounds of St. Pope John Pau XXIII Church, 381 Robbins Ave., Niles. The festival will include homemade food, live bands performing nightly, raffles, amusement rides, bingo and bocce.

REPTILE SHOW: The Girard Free Library will have the Komora Outdoors Reptile Show at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Children will get to see a variety of reptiles, including snakes, lizards and turtles.

SCHOOL SUPPLY COLLECTION: The Emmanuel Community Care Center, 2 N. State St., Girard, will be giving school supplies to children in grades K-12 for the 2026-27 school year. Any family who is registered at the center and is in need of school supplies can call the center at 330-545-4301. Calls will be taken through Aug. 7 with the items to be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 11. The center will accept donations of school supplies such as backpacks, water bottles, pencils, pens, crayons, loose leaf notebooks, scissors and glue. Also accepted are gift cards for Target and Walmart. Donations need to be at the center by Aug. 7.

RAILROADERS TO MEET: All active and retired railroaders are invited to the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railroad employees monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Thursday at JP’s Pizzeria, state Route 170, Calcutta. For information, call Rocco at 330-853-3045.
