Ceremony to honor Revolutionary War vets

BRACEVILLE BENCH DEDICATION: The Braceville Historical Society and the Mary Chesney Chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will host an American Revolutionary War veteran bench memorial ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Braceville Cemetery. The Daughters of the American Revolution will present and dedicate a bench to the 18 Revolutionary War veterans buried there. A reception will follow at the Braceville African American Heritage Museum, 1250 Cedar St. SW.

TASTE OF BRACEVILLE: The Taste of Braceville will take place noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Braceville African American Heritage Museum, 1250 Cedar St. The event will include food, vendors, museum tours, raffles and cookbook testing. The day will be for connection, culture and food. The museum’s cookbook will be available for sale. There will be guided tours of the museum.

TEEN SCENE: McKinley Memorial Library will present “Teen Scene: Social Inter-snack-tion” 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the McKinley Birthplace Home in Niles. Teens ages 12 to 18 are invited to sample some unique flavors of potato chips and discuss recent anime watches and manga reads. All supplies will be provided. Teen Scene takes place once a month. Registration is recommended at 330-652-1704, Ext. 4.

MUSIC ON THE LAWN: The McKinley Memorial Library will present the yacht rock band Captain Colada 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday on the grounds of the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial in Niles. Take a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy free performances on select Thursdays, weather permitting.

WELLNESS ON WHEELS: The Warren City Health District Wellness on Wheels will be on site 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Warren Family Mission, 155 Tod Ave. NW.
