Volunteers sought for Niles spring cleanup
NILES SPRING CLEANUP: Volunteers are needed for the Niles spring community cleanup noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Niles Greenway Central Park Trailhead on Church Street. Trash bags and other items will be provided by the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District. Food and refreshments will be provided afterward. ART SHOWCASE: Warren City Schools will host the annual student art show 4:30 to 7 p.m. today in the Warren G. Harding High School gymnasium. Artwork from students from throughout the school year will be displayed. The public is invited.
RIBBON CUTTING: A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Bazetta Township Park for the opening of the remodeled Imagination Station play area. There will be different activities for children.
COMMUNITY-WIDE HEALTH FAIR: Community Connection is announcing its second annual Community-Wide Health Fair, taking place 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 375 N. Park Ave., Warren. The event is free to the public and will offer a wide range of health screenings and educational services. In addition to health services, attendees can enjoy stress and relaxation resources, basket raffles and access to local community vendors, all aimed at supporting healthier lifestyles.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend, take advantage of free screenings, and connect with local organizations dedicated to wellness and support.

NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING: The Northwest Neighborhood Association monthly meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Monday at Grace Methodist Church on Drexel Avenue in Warren. Trevor Martin, redistricting campaign coordinator from the League of Women Voters, will be at the meeting to discuss rezoning of the 1st and 7th wards. Socks for the Warren Family Mission are being collected, and the church pantry is always in need of nonperishable food items.
AAUW INSTALLATION: The American Association of University Women-Trumbull chapter will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday at The Chophouse in Howland. Roz Jackson is the meeting chair. Newly elected officers for 2026-28 will be installed and retiring officers will be recognized. The branch 2025-2026 scholarship winner will be introduced.
