Bazetta revving up for car show
CAR SHOW: A classic car and craft show will take place noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Imagination Station in Bazetta Township Park. Car and craft vendors arrive at 9 a.m. There will be concessions and a raffle. Pre-registration fee is $15; day of event registration is $15; and craft vendor fee is $15.

FLAG PLACEMENT EVENT: The Cover Down Fund will mark its one-year anniversary of serving veterans in the Mahoning Valley with a community-wide flag placement event honoring fallen veterans, 8:30 a.m. today at Pine View Cemetery.
Team Cover Down, alongside veterans from across the community, will place American flags on the graves of veterans in advance of Memorial Day.
Community members are encouraged to participate in the annual event.
KIDS’ TREASURE HUNT: A Newton Falls Treasure Hunt meet and greet will take place 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Four Corners Park, West Broad Street. The event will include a treasure hunt for children, book signings, music activities and special guest appearances.
POLICE WEEK SERVICE: In honor of National Police Week, Hubbard City Chaplains will hold a memorial service 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hubbard administration building to honor the officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. The event is open to the public.
HISTORICAL SOCIETY EVENTS: The Howland Historical Society will host a community garage and bake sale 9 a,.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday at the Andrews Jones House, 9441 King Graves Road NE, Warren.
The monthly open house for the Yellow House, 8207 South St., will take place 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The 105th OVI Civil War Reenactors will be featured at the event.
A free speakers program will be presented 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Howland SCOPE Center, 8273 High St. NE. Traci Manning of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society will present “Testing Our Strength-The Steel Valley in the 1940s.” Light refreshments will be served.
PET CLINIC: The Trumbull County Farm Bureau, in partnership with Gustavus Veterinary Services, will sponsor a community Pet Clinic 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Gustavus Veterinary Services, 4610 Route 87 in Farmdale. The clinic features a variety of essential services for both canines and felines. Farm Bureau members will receive a $10 discount on every vaccine administered to pets within their membership household. Members are encouraged to bring their membership ID cards, though staff will have lists on hand to verify active status. Vaccines will be administered by licensed veterinarians.

SUMMER ACADEMY: Game Changers is launching its newest initiative designed to help students transition into adulthood with the Grad and Go! Summer Academy.
Game Changers’ mission is to create platforms and experiences that encourage leadership, character development and career readiness among high school students — particularly student-athletes and graduating seniors.
Open to 50 rising high school seniors in Warren, the Grad and Go! Summer Academy is a three-week immersive experience held in June, followed by monthly mentorship sessions throughout the year. Students will engage with area professionals and mentors from the Mahoning Valley, and participate in workshops, mock interviews, team-building challenges and community service projects.
Applications are open and all selected students will receive a full scholarship to participate. The deadline is May 22.
