Alzheimer Network board names founder as executive director emeritus

The board of directors of the Alzheimer Network is proud to announce that Dorothy Barto, founder and longtime executive director, has been offered the honorary title of Executive Director Emeritus in recognition of her extraordinary leadership and over 40 years of dedicated service.

In 2004, under Dorothy’s leadership, the organization became a 501(c)(3) with a vision to provide compassionate support and reliable resources to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease. The organization is a trusted source of quality information, education, guidance and ongoing support within the community. Dorothy lived by the credo, “We are here to help”.

Dorothy’s commitment and passion have shaped the foundation of the organization. Her tireless efforts have improved the lives of countless individuals and families navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease. This recognition is a small way to thank Dorothy for everything she has built and the lives she has touched along the way.
